Harley-Davidson Dyna Stunt Parts: Protection & Setup Guide
Explore Harley-Davidson Dyna stunt parts: K Bars, cage kit stages, shock sliders, derby covers, and subframes, with fitment guidance for 1992–2017 Dyna models.
The Harley-Davidson Dyna has a longstanding following in V-Twin stunt riding. Its exposed chassis, twin rear shocks, and aftermarket support make it a versatile starting point for performance and protection upgrades.
Before ordering, make sure you know your Dyna’s setup. The complete Kruesi Originals Dyna Cage Kit is designed for 1999–2017 Twin Cam Dyna models equipped with mid controls. Riding a 1992–1998 Evolution Dyna? Our standalone Dyna K Bar offers fitment for those earlier models as well. Not compatible with forward controls. Always double-check your motor mounts and existing modifications to ensure everything fits your build.

1. Engine & Frame Protection: K Bar and K Slider
Kruesi Originals Dyna K Bar

The 1.25-inch DOM steel K Bar is a standalone engine guard designed for 1992–2017 Dyna models. Its FXRP-inspired design aims to help protect key areas of the engine and frame while maintaining cornering clearance. It is not compatible with forward controls. Shop the Dyna K Bar →
Kruesi Originals K Slider

The K Slider adds Delrin sliding surfaces to a compatible K Bar using an aluminum crossbar and stainless hardware. Choose the appropriate OEM or Big Bear/Chopper Haus motor-mount configuration. Not compatible with Sputhe stabilizers on Dyna models. Shop the K Slider →
2. Compare the Four Stages of the Dyna Cage Kit
Stage 1 — K Bar + K Slider

Includes the K Bar and K Slider.
Stage 2 — Stage 1 + Slider Derby Cover

Adds the Twin Cam Slider Derby Cover to the K Bar and K Slider.
Stage 3 — Stage 2 + Top & Bottom Shock Sliders

Adds top and bottom shock sliders to the Stage 2 components.
Stage 4 — Stage 3 + Dyna Subframe

The Kruesi Originals Dyna Cage Kit is available in four stages, each building upon the previous stage to provide additional protection. All four stages are designed for 1999–2017 Twin Cam Dyna models. Due to differences between Evolution and Twin Cam derby cover configurations, the complete Cage Kit is not offered for 1992–1998 Evolution Dyna models. However, the standalone Kruesi Originals Dyna K Bar is compatible with applicable 1992–2017 Dyna models. Explore all four Cage Kit stages →
3. Upper and Lower Shock Protection
Top and bottom shock sliders address different mounting points. Both Kruesi Originals products are listed for compatible 1999–2017 Dyna models, with no separate 2006–2007 selection required for the current top slider listing.
Top Mount Shock Sliders

Designed to protect the upper shock mounting area using Delrin sliders, billet aluminum spacers, and stainless hardware. Bottom sliders are sold separately. Shop Top Mount Shock Sliders →
Bottom Mount Shock Sliders

Help protect the lower shock mounts, swingarm and nearby areas. Top sliders are sold separately. Shop Bottom Mount Shock Sliders →
4. Primary Protection: Twin Cam Slider Derby Cover

Machined from 6061 billet aluminum, the Slider Derby Cover incorporates a replaceable Delrin puck. Current Dyna variants are listed for 1999–2017 Twin Cam Dyna; the different Evolution derby-cover design is not compatible. Certain later Twin Cam applications require a flat gasket in place of the factory O-ring configuration. Shop Slider Derby Covers →

The one-piece gusseted steel Dyna Subframe offers five adjustable positions and includes a Scrape City Titanium XL Plate. Choose the correct 1999–2005 or 2006–2017 Dyna variant. Installation requires fender cutting, although no welding is required. Shop Dyna Subframes →

7. What Should You Buy First?
1992–1998 Evolution Dyna: Start by evaluating the standalone K Bar and any other individually confirmed compatible accessories. The complete Dyna Cage Kit is not listed for these motorcycles.
1999–2017 Twin Cam Dyna: Compare Cage Kit Stages 1–4 based on the areas you want to protect. Confirm control layout, motor mounts, model-year specifics, and aftermarket compatibility before ordering.
Building in stages: Consider engine and frame protection, then primary-side and shock protection, before planning any specialized rear subframe setup. Individual parts and the Cage Kit may not always be interchangeable across different builds.
